Happy Birthday Savannah!

Where did this year go? I can't believe my baby girl is ONE year old! It's hard to believe!! She is growing up way too fast. What a joy she has brought to our family!! I can't imagine our life without her. She continues to be a great baby!

Savannah is cruising every where now. She does not like to be still for one minute. She loves pushing anything she can find across the room. One of my favorite activities she does right now is the game of peek-a-boo. She will play that game for 5 minutes and does not get bored. If she wants to play, she will cover her eyes and keep her hands there until you acknowledge it. It is absolutely the cutes thing!! I have tried so many times to get this on video and she comes chasing after the camera instead of playing the game. Savannah switched to whole milk two weeks ago and is doing great! She has finally taken to her cup. She will only take a soft spout. She just chews on the hard ones. She has been getting a bottle at night only for the past two weeks. She received her last bottle two nights ago and it was very hard for me. I just held her that night and cried before I put her down. I can't believe she will soon be a toddler!! She is doing very well on table food. When you ask her if she is all done, she will sign all done and smile at you. She truly knows how to smile!! It doesn't matter what she's doing, she is always smiling. She just lights up a room!

Things our little Savannah is saying these days:

Dada ( who she thinks the world of!!)
Mama
( but not very often)
dabe (that would be baby, that she started saying on her birthday)
dank ou ( that would be Thank You..the only time she does this is when we are in the floor and she gives me something. I will say Thank You and she tries to repeat me and thinks its funny. Another game she loves to play!)
bye bye( she has only said this one twice)

We celebrated her birthday tonight with Grandma and Papa! We will have her birthday party on December 5th, so instead of making a cupcake for her, we just used her cake from her one year pictures. The cake was not very pretty due to her already digging in it and Jackson also getting his hands in it, but it was still very good. We got her a stroller and her very first baby doll for her birthday. She has a couple of those soft babies, but this is her first "real" baby doll. She was absolutely beside herself. This is one of those time I wish I had the video camera in my hand instead of the camera. She was so darn cute with that baby doll. She kept saying in the deep voice "dabe". She could not get enough of it.

The birthday girl and her Daddy! Checking her baby doll out!
She could not wait for Daddy to get her baby out of the box. Hurry up Daddy! :-)
Grandma was excited to see Savannah's reaction. Thank you Grandma and Papa for coming to celebrate her birthday with us AND for bringing a yummy dinner! :-)

Just look at that face!! She was so excited!! We can't wait for her birthday party so she will have even more girly stuff. Savannah has come to love playing with tonka trucks and trains! :-)

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl! We love you so much!

Love, Mommy, Daddy, and Jackson
