Happy Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Jasons' birthday today as a family! We think that he should have had the day off and spent it with us, but unfortunately we don't write his paycheck! :-) The kids and I had a fun day making daddy's favorite cake, chocolate cake with cream cheese icing. I made a homemade lasagna for dinner and Papa came over to celebrate with us! Grandma wasn't able to make it because she was sick. We hope that you are feeling better soon, Grandma! We missed you!

The making of the cake goes a little like this:

Get all your ingredients together, to include one anxious little boy! Have that little boy pour in the cake mix..

and the oil...
Have that cute little boy mix the batter together and you are ready to bake the cake!

While the cake is baking, that cute little boy and his adorable little sister of his can have a little treat...
And that makes two happy little kiddos!

After the cake has cooled, have Mommy make the cream cheese icing. While she is icing the cake, let those two adorable kiddos have an even better treat....Cream cheese icing! Yum!!

Next, let them have some sprinkle fun as they decorate the cake!

Ta-Da! Now, Daddy has a yummy cake made with lots of love!
