First Camping Trip!

Well, we did it!! We packed up and took our two toddlers camping to Oconee State Park. So many told us we were crazy for attempting to do this, but it was a wonderful time with great friends and not only our toddler's, but two more!

Trying out their camping chairs the day before our trip. Jackson was so excited about his camping trip. He could not wait!

The weather, kids, view, and company was great! The weather during the day could not have been better. It did get really cold at night, but it was mainly my fault for not being prepared. I was too busy trying to make sure Savannah didn't get cold and then I didn't want to wake her up trying to get myself warm .We had view of the lake from our campsite and let me just say the kids took full advantage of that. Amanda, Wade, and their two kids were with us. The kids had a ball!

This was our view from the campsite! Absolutely Beautiful!

Thanks for inviting us Amanda! We had a great time!

Savannah loves trying to ride a tricycle and obviously a bike. Big Girl! Maybe, we should skip the tricycle for her birthday and buy her a bike. :-)

Amanda and Wade got there Friday night, but we didn't get there until Saturday at lunch time. We went for a short hike with the kids and then came back to the campsite and hung out. The kids played near the water for a while and leave it up to my kids to find there way into the water. It was downhill from there! :-) They all ended up playing in the water. My brave little girl was right there with the big kids. She has NO fear!

A family picture in front of of the tunnel we hiked through! A hike up the mountain with Daddy! Ta-Da!
Three of our four monkeys! A walk to the waterfall on Daddy's shoulders. Me and My Baby Girl! Back at the campsite....Jackson, the leader of the pack, off into the COLD water. YIKES! What Mom? Should I not be in this COLD water?!

We roasted marshmallows and had smores before we put the kids down. Jackson LOVED doing this. Uncle Wade told a story before the kids went to bed and they were all entertained. I need to hire him for my story telling time. Thanks Uncle Wade! :-)

Roasting Marshmallows after dinner! The boys loved it!

My favorite picture from our camping trip! Jackson caught his marshmallow on fire and this was his expression as Daddy took it from him to blow it out. Priceless!
The kids playing in their "bounce house" before getting ready for bed.

Silly girls! Bed time story from Uncle Wade!

The kids slept great! The biggest mistake I made was having Savannah on a air mattress. That girl can't stay in one place. She is all over the place when she sleeps. I knew better, but apparently I wasn't thinking. Our next camping trip, she will be sleeping on a comforter on the ground. She and I will both sleep much better!

My sleeping beauties..... Nothing sweeter than seeing your babies sleeping!

Sunday, we got up made breakfast, packed everything up, and headed to the fish hatchery. The kids had a great time there. They were all so adorable looking at all the fish and feeding them.

Breakfast around the fire before we unpacked. It was a chilly morning! Thank you Ashley for letting Savannah borrow your hat, since Mommy forgot to pack hers!! Bad Mommy!

Checking out the fish at the fish hatchery.

Savannah found a tree trunk to climb. Not surprising...she loves to climb.

And a fallen tree that she scared me walking across over and over.

I can't wait for out next camping trip together. I know we will make this a family adventure we continue to take together. Love my sweet little family!
