Long weekend with Daddy!

We love when Daddy has a 3 day weekend! Although, we get really spoiled and wish he had all 3 day weekends. This past weekend was so much fun! We took Jackson to the museum Saturday morning to see the dinosaurs. Jackson has really been into dinosaurs lately, so we decided to take him to see the museum exhibit. At first, we were glad there was so much more there than the dinosaurs. Our first visit to that floor, Jackson was very unsure about them and wanted Jason to hold him all the way through. I have to say they were pretty scary and very life-like. So , we visited all the other fun exhibits. All along, Jackson kept asking to go back to see the dinosaurs. We did take him back a second time and he loved it! He walked all the way through by himself and asked me what type of dinosaur each one was.

This is Jackson's first time in the dinosaur exhibit. At the entrance, there was a dinosaur named Stacey for you to stop and take a picture with. Notice the look on Jackson's face as he hears and see's some of the dinosaurs. However, he was still curious and wanted to go in!

This is the dinosaur that Jackson and Jason made together. Jackson was having a ball with this until he got on and noticed a big dinosaur across from him eating another one. Again, I have to say that one was really scary. I love this pic of my boys!! Jackson still not sure of those dinosaurs!! Digging for fossils!
Here is one of the Stegosauruses they had...looks pretty "real" to me!
Next to the dinosaurs, Jackson's favorite was the science area. He had so much fun with this ball being blown in the air!

Those was another one of his favorites..I think he stayed here for 20 minutes. He LOVED it!

There wasn't much for Savannah to do other than ride in the stroller, but she did enjoy the elevator ride and....

The play area where she pushed this firetruck around.

Sunday, we took a day trip to Charleston. Unfortunately, this trip had its ups and downs. Jackson hasn't been sleeping too well at night for some reason. He is waking 3 and 4 times a night. Saturday night was one of those nights. I really thought he may take a nap on the way down, but not a chance! He was so tired by the time we got to the aquarium that he wasn't being such a good listener. He wasn't being very cooperative and just wanted to run off. Savannah took a little nap on the way down and was a very good sport letting her big brother look at all the fish.

Yes, he touched an alligator... Jackson loved the hermit crabs! Such a sweet picture of Jackson with his Daddy!!
This is what Savannah did while Jackson played with the hermits! She loved the kiddie play area and was very entertained by the water below the big window!
Savannah with her friend, the frog! She loved this frog and did not want to get up. She kept patting his leg and laughing.
Me and my boy! No chance in getting a good picture here! He was overly tired and just wanted to be down and running wild...that would be Jackson's way of dealing with his exhaustion these days.

All in all, we had a great trip at the aquarium. We then went to lunch and to the outlets for a bit afterwards and that was about all Jackson could handle on a little sleep. I am so thankful for these fun weekends with my family! We have to work on getting Daddy more 3 day weekends! :-)
