Our family tradition of going to see the lights at Saluda Shoals is always so wonderful. We have taken Jackson since his first Christmas and each year gets better and better. We went a little later this year than normal because it was our only opportunity for the kids to see Santa. Jackson and Savannah both loved looking at all the lights and pointing out what they see. My favorite of the whole night was pulling in and hearing Savannah say "Wow!". I love seeing Christmas time through the eyes of my children. They are truly the biggest blessing you could ask for!
I wasn't sure what to expect when either of them saw Santa this year, but they both surprised me. We didn't get a great picture with Santa this year, but at least they got to sit on his lap and tell them what they wanted for Christmas. Jackson went right up to Santa and sat on his lap. Savannah was holding on to me for dear life, but once she saw the little girl in front of us get a candy cane from Santa, she was just fine. That girl will do anything for sweets! Jackson told Santa he wanted the the "Green thing", aka the Leapster Explorer! When Santa asked Savannah what she wanted, she got embarrassed and leaned her head against Santa and just grinned. You should have seen the grin on his face. He said "Oh, I will take some love!" It was so cute!
My sweet babies with Santa! Here are my Christmas babies in front of the tree at our house!
So thankful for these two little blessings!
